This is an original David Yellowhorse Thunderbird that was made for United Cutlery in the year 2000--and it's in the original walnut display case, in mint condition! The knife is in immaculate condition; each side of the handle is made of 39 pieces of turquoise, opal, coral, nickel silver and jet. And each side has an inletted figure of a thunderbird. (As you know, in Navajo mythology, the thunderbird causes light-ning and thunder by blinking his eyes and flapping his wings!) The blade measures 3-5/8" long and is marked on the left side with David Yellow-horse's "DY" logo. The right side of the blade is marked with David Yellowhorse's horsehead logo and his signature, and: "# 412". The nickel silver bolster has an engraved design that resembles chipped flint. Of course, The Thunderbird was limited to only 600 pieces. David Yellowhorse gave us a list of the knives he produced for United Cutlery; we enclose a copy of that list with this knife. This Thunderbird knife cost $499.00 when it was produced in 2000. This knife is fitted in its original glass-top presentation case with the David Yellow-horse horsead logo and: "Thunderbird" etched on the glass. The case measures 4-1/8" x 10-5/8", and 2" deep, made of walnut. It is in mint condition, also. This knife has its original Certificate of Authenticity signed by David Yellowhorse, and
