Absolutely stunning Creamer and Open Sugar manufactured by Davidson of England. Each piece is marked with an impressed Rd# 303519. We call this Vaseline glass in America but Davidson called it "Lemon Pearline". Guaranteed old and not a reproduction. Fantastic pattern and detail. Almost all the english patterns have great detail and this is no exception. The open sugar (English sugars are all open, t are no lids ever), consists of 8 fans over large diagonals and diamonds to create a series of triangles. The compote part sits on a stem which rests on a rayed base. See photo because I can't describe it much better. The sugar measures 5.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 6 inches. The creamer follows the same design. The creamer is 4.75 inches tall. T are no handle heatchecks. I can find only 2 spots of damage on these 2 pieces. The sugar has what appears to be an area w the mold did not fill in correctly. See the photo. It is not a crack or chip. My fingernail can detect this but it does not go through to the outside of the piece. I consider this entirely in the making of the item. Remember, the QA process in 1897 is not what it is today!!! The creamer has a bruise along one rib that I tried to photo. Part of the design has a file section on the rib. It appears that about 4 of the little files are missing. Length of the missing files read more
