Metal figures are back in Die Cast versions, but they don't hold a candle to these original PEWTER figures!! Up for bid is a 1996 COMIC BOOK CHAMPIONS Limited Edition Collector Series Pewter SUPERMAN Figure from the Golden Age of Comics . This Golden Age Superman represents the "man of steel" from Superman Comics #1. This piece is mint in the never-opened package. The package itself is in good shape with just a little "shelf wear". The Comic Book Champions Collection celebrates decades of comic book characters and their adventures. Comic Book Champions unique artistry combines a limited edition, 3D, hand-crafted sculpture with a full color replica of its classic comic book cover. The authentic characters are cast in fine pewter by world renowned artisans. To insure the authenticity, each figure has its own hand-numbered certificate. Each finely detailed pewter figure is a single production release. The master mold is destroyed after casting to preserve the uniqueness of this superior pewter sculpture.
