This awesome sign came from a Volkswagen dealership -- it is a commercial-duty unit weighing 26 pounds and built incredibly well with an anodized aluminum housing, steel back, and glass lens. Measures 11" tall, 38" long, and 4-1/2" deep. This "Infinogram" sign (so named because of the "infinity effect" it produces for the lettering and logo) was made by United Displaycraft of Des Plaines, Illinois. This sign dates to the time when Volkswagen launched its iconic "Drivers Wanted." ad campaign in 1995 that helped increase sales by 18.1 percent in one year! When lit the words "Drivers wanted." and the VW logo appear to repeat again and again for infinity. The effect changes depending on the angle at which you look at the sign and appears to "move" as you move around the sign. The effect is quite clear with other room lights on or off. I took plenty of photos with lights on, lights dimmed, and with flash to give you an idea. This is a truly unique sign built to last decades. I can't find another like it anywhere on the internet. It works perfectly. Comes with a generous 14' long rubber power cord that plugs into a 110-volt outlet and has a built-in rocker switch for turning it on and off.
