This is a Vintage DeArmond "Guitar Mike" Model FHC Model Archtop Guitar Magnetic Pickup, c. 1950's, made in Toledo, Ohio, with a chrome finish. This is missing the cord now, but worked the last time it was used. We cannot guarantee its functionality however, so it’s being sold as is, as shown in the photos.One of the classic and most popular DeArmond pickup models, the original "Guitar Mike" is generally similar to the "Rhythm Chief" but requires no alteration of the guitar to mount. The pickup coil slides along a bar which clamps to the strings behind the bridge and can be adjusted to any position under the strings. Still a popular and excellent-sounding pickup, with a great sound and unmatched practicality. As used over the past 60 years by many jazz, blues and early rock'n'roll players too numerous to mention!
