These Bicycle Templar Knights playing cards are made by US Playing Card Co. They were custom designed by Diavoli, which also released the Phoenix, Tattoo and Alchemist decks. These are BRAND NEW decks, in cellophane and sealed. They were printed in October 2011. The cards have Air Cushion Finish. You will receive TWO DECKS in this buy it now offer. For those, like me, who are historically challenged, The Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, commonly known as the Knights Templar, the Order of the Temple or simply as Templars, were among the most famous of the Western Christian military orders. The organization existed for nearly two centuries during the Middle Ages but was disbanded in the 14th century. Besides being skilled fighters, some of its members also were experts in business and financial affairs, and some buildings put up by the Knights still stand today.
