This is a truly unusual lamp. It's designed as a black panther climbing a rock and is completely covered in a rich black glaze. What makes it especially intriguing is the lightbulb is located behind inside the rock and when you turn it on (see photo) it back lights the panther to great dramatic effect. Socket is original but cord is new. Old switch seems to have been lost. You have to plug it in to turn it on. Dates from the 1930's or 1940's. Condition is excellent but has been sitting in a basement somew for a long time and could use a good cleaning.
