This is such a clever and beautifully made piece, has crab hallmarks French silver small guarantee. Hinged shell opens to reveal hidden compartment for pills or a keepsake. Designed so that chain slides to flat link the fits through so the head can be removed to open the links, extremely well crafted, all sterling. Turtle alone measures 1.75 inches by 1 inch and the link chain is 1 � inch could be used for keychain too I suppose. Great condition weighs 25.2 grams. Also has other French hallmarks on ring with diamond shaped cartouche.
