This is by far the most elaborate and elegant Art Deco style ladies diamond watch we have ever come across!! It is a Hamilton (Mdl. 980, 17 jewel manual wind movement) that features the following-14k White gold bracelet, double rows of set white diamonds (full cut approx. .05 carats each) for a total of 64 diamonds in the bracelet and clasp. Clam shell type watch head that measures approx. 37mm long X 16mm wide and 12mm thick. The lid to this watch opens up (spring loaded) to reveal the watch dial. The diamonds are all full cut, high quality bright white stones that include several larger stones (3 approx. .30 carat each round stones) 11 round stones about .15 carats each, 9 round diamonds about .10 each and 7 emerald cut diamonds of varying sizes. We believe the total diamond weight to be about 5 total carats . This watch looks like a stunning deco bracelet and is incredibly attractive and well made. We estimate that the watch was made in the 1950âe(tm)s and it comes with a vintage marked Hamilton box . The bracelet and the watch head are solid 14k white gold and the watch weighs 27.7 grams (with diamonds, band, movement and safety chain). Pictures cannot adequately convey the beauty and sparkle that this wonderful piece has in person . Lightly worn (almost not worn) this Hamilton diamond, clam shell watch is in pristine condition and it runs and sets well. The watch measures about 5 ½" long overall but could be easily lengthened by a jeweler. This is simply a stunning piece for a fraction of the cost of a modern high jewel gold and diamond bracelet!
