This is an incredible necklace-unlike anything I have ever seen on ebay. Offered is a 28 inch long Native American Ball Block necklace, strung on sterling, marked and signed by the maker. Silver disk near the clasp bears 'sterling' mark and YH-initials of the maker. Clasp is the simple hook style typical of fine Native American work. The beadwork is breathtaking. Starting from the clasp: 20 oval beads on each side, each bead about .25 inch in height and .35 across. Then, five large round balls: each .5 in diameter. Then, a silver block: .75 inch on each side. Finally, 12 more silver balls, also .5 inch in diameter. This clinical description does nothing to capture the power or beauty of this necklace. It is a substantial 155 grams of sterling silver and hangs beautifully around the neck. I guarantee that this will be the purchase of a life-time. This necklace was purchased at a Trading Post in the Southwest by a local collector of Native American jewelry. As health concerns have interfered with her life, I have been fortunate to purchase many magnificent items from her collection. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
