A VERY RARE 18TH CENTURY DECORATED BRASS BRAZIER OR WARMER, Circa 1760-1780 WITH THE BEST CAST BALL AND CLAW FEET AND ITS ORIGINAL RING HANDLES. Probably English made for the American Market, Circa 1760-1780 in great old polished surface and patina. SMALL EXAMPLES LIKE THIS ARE EXTREMELY RARE. A GREAT CHIPPENDALE PERIOD EXAMPLE FOR YOUR COLLECTION. these formal brass pieces were used to keep warm your tea or toddy pots in your formal rooms. You would put embers in the bottom and then place your tea pots or pans on the top to keep them warm. This example has a very rare "folding" pot support which affords you a smaller pot size.
Fantastic early cut and scrolled sides and top. It has wonderful cast ball and claw feet.
