This is the best blanket chest that we have ever had the pleasure of offering. Feather decoration in browns over a mustard on the top and three sides. Ca. 1820-40. White pine with dovetailed construction. Original throughtout including till, escutcheon, key, hinges, turned feet and applied molding to lid and base. Square nails (pictured) on the bottom also attaching the legs. The boards are one and two boards wide. Nice small size: 21.5in.H, 38in.W, 18in.D. I hope I have captured the paint inluding the feet to show the pristine condition of this piece. Ex. Elizabeth Daniels, a prominent Chapel Hill, NC. dealer in the mid 1900s. Delivery may be possible depending on details. I have other pictures available that I can email. Please email if you have questions.
