Here is one of eighteen Dedham Pottery plates that were issued annually by the Dedham Historical Society to commemorate one of the company's famous designs. These plates all have the trademark crackle glaze and are in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. The "crazing" is obviously intentional and represents their trademark feature. Limited to just 300 plates per year, all but ONE of the plates we are listing today are the same number in the annual series...#26. The eighteen plates that will be listed today begin in 1996. I am unsure if it was the first year they made these plates, but these eighteen plates are sequential beginning in 1996 and ending in 2013, so here is a wonderful opportunity to either acquire them all or just bid on those you need to fill in your collection or acquire the designs that you like. The quality is wonderful and the backstamp and markings have a reproduction of the original mark with the rabbit on the dark background. This is the plate from 2013. It is #26 of 300 and depicts a reverse of the classic rabbit plate...with this one having blue rabbits repeating around the outer rim on a white background.
