A lovely early fruit jar! Deep Olive Green half gallon fruit jar. Flared tooled lip with no chips and in great shape for its age. The base has a large open pontil in a kick up. Sold to me (from a reputable dealer) that the jar is circa 1820 to 1860. Jar is a very nice jar and displays wonderfully. Minor scratches and wear as usual. Lower part of the jar has some white residue. Dont know if it will wash out, but you cannot really see it unless it is very strongly back lit. Shipping for insured priority mail will be $12. Please email with any questions. If this jar will work in your collection, it will certainly add some great color!
