Last spring while I was planting corn in central Iowa with a 60âe(tm) wide John Deere 1770 24 row planter, I needed to take a leak. So I climbed out of my 320 horsepower John Deere 9200 four wheel drive articulated tractor and went right t in the field. Since I was out of the climate controlled tractor cab, I figured I might as well look the planter over. As I inspected the planter, I noticed this half buried rusty green thing poking out of the ground a short distance away. I pulled it out of the ground and was just going to throw it in the fencerow out of the way. Then I noticed the âe~Deere & Mansurâe(tm) writing on the lid of the thing, so I cleaned the dirt off and took it with me. After about an hour worth of research on the world wide web, this is what I believe I found that dayâe¦..
