VG is VERY GOOD: Disc is marked and/or Sleeve is tatty. Conditions are in the form of Sleeve/Disc eg EX/M. In this case the sleeve is in excellent condition (first grade) and the disc is in mint condition (second grade). If theres only one condition, i.e. /EX, it means that theres no sleeve and that the disc is excellent. This is usually the case for picture discs or records that weren't issued with picture sleeves.
