DeGrazia Children Figurine "Pima Indian Drummer Boy" ~ # 7305, Goebel 1989 Adorable hand-painted figurines depicting the works of Ted DeGrazia Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing Comes with original box and protective waffle padding Measures 6"H x 2 3/4" diameter The brilliant colors of the Southwest come alive in the paintings of Ted DeGrazia. The heritage of a proud people is reflected in the wistful dark-eyed faces of these Indian children. And now, the children of DeGrazia take on a new dimension as they seem to come to life in figurines created exclusively by Goebel of West Germany. Each is crafted in the finest tradition and individually hand-painted. Throughout his life, DeGrazia felt a kinship with the Indian people. He would travel to their festivals and watch the Yaquis, the Apaches, the Seris, and the Papagos. From his own impressions, he created the now famous paintings of round-faced, somber Indian children. This particular figurine, entitled "Pima Indian Drummer Boy", was issued in 1988. It features a young Indian boy who is dressed in a very colorful, striped blanket, and playing on a hand-held drum with a wooden striker . It stands 6" high, and the base measures 2 3/4" in diameter. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing, and comes with the original box and sponge foam
