are 6 magnificent ORIGINAL photos taken March 30, 1904 of six different locations of the DELAWARE LACKAWANNA & WESTERN RAILROAD. 1) Hoboken Yard, New Jersey 2) Newark, New Jersey 3) Dover, New Jersey 4) East of Millburn, New Jersey 5) East of Wyoming, New Jersey 6) South Orange, New Jersey These photos measure 7 1/2 inches x 10 inches they are on a stiff cardboard backing that measures 8 1/4 inches x 11 1/4 inches. T is glue on the cardboard backing but not on the photographs. The photos and the glue are over a hundred years old so just touching the glue releases it from the backing, without harming the backing. Each photo has the place it was taken and the date. This is a phenomenal find. Not one, but 6 historical memorabilia. If you are a RAILROAD buff you can't pass this by. Who would hold onto photos for over a hundred years. What a great Christmas present for a RR collector. is some background on the DL & WRR: The Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad Company ( DL&W or Lackawanna ) ( AAR reporting marks DLW ) was a railroad connecting Pennsylvania 's Lackawanna Valley , rich in anthracite coal , to New York City , Buffalo and Oswego, New York .
