DELCREST FINE CHINA ETERNITY CUP & SAUCER SET THIN FINE CHINA HIGH GLOSS IVORY PORCELAIN HEAVY PLATINUM TRIM / PLATINUM PLATED HANDLE MANUFACTURED IN JAPAN CIRCA 1955 NEAR MINT CONDITION For Sale is a beautiful Delcrest Fine China Footed Cup and Saucer Set in the Eternity pattern. This pattern features an Ivory background with heavy Platinum Trim and a Platinum Plated Handle. The thin lightweight Cup stands 2 3/8” tall and the Saucer measures 6” diameter. The Gold back stamp depicts a Diamond sitting atop a Wreath and reads “Del-Crest Fine China, Eternity.” One item of the dinnerware we have by this maker is marked “Dell Crest.” The research we have indicates this was most likely a small Japanese factory that operated for about one year (1955) and made only three patterns; Autumn , Springtime and Eternity . This was immediately after the U.S. occupation ended and, like hundreds of small Japanese companies, most did not last very long. We cannot figure out where the name was derived, but we have had another maker from Japan during this time period whose factory name was Fan Crest. We see no defects on this outstanding Footed Cup & Saucer Set and have graded it in Near Mint condition.
