Description : is a wonderful pair of vintage art pottery Hawaiian Hula girl and boy figurine / planter vases. They are Stump sitters made by DeLee Art Pottery in the 1940's or 1950's. This set is a pretty young Hawaiian couple dressed in green and white leaf design tropical clothing, and each have a white floral lei, and hibiscus flower in their hair, scantly dressed, with bare feet. The Man is in semi-nude attire, dressed in shorts. They are sitting on tree stump vases. They measure approximately 9 to 9 1/4" tall by about 6" across. The figurines are marked on the base, with the DeLee Art Pottery stamp. The Man is dressed in shorts only ( semi-nude) in excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks that I can see. The lady is not in perfect condition. However, she displays well, and you don't really notice any imperfections, when looking from the front. She had been broken and re-glued, has a chip near her elbow, and a chip on the back side of flower in her hair (see pictures). Despite her imperfections, they display well together and are wonderful old pieces of DeLee California Art Pottery. They are shown in the Delee California Art pottery book by Joanne Schaefer. Please feel free to email me with any questions.**************************************************************************************************** Auctions are to read more
