This chunky triangular-shaped ornate brooch is sure to get raves!
In the style of Miriam Haskell or Robert DeMario. I believe this is an unsigned DeMario (I sold recently a chunky brooch similar to this one that was signed DeMario). It is brimming with pearls, amber glass beads and colorful rhinestone and AB accents, all hand-wired onto a nice filigree base. Very, very pretty! The filigree base is a lacy ruffled triangle, onto which has been hand-wired an ornate cluster beads and pearls and rhinestones. The theme seems to be that of a lush fruit vine -- near the border on each of the triangle's sides, t is a leafy goldtone vine with some berry-like fruits. At the center of the cluster is an aurora borealis floret surrounded by goldtone leaves, amber beads and a smattering of small clear and AB rhinestones. Near the edges are clusters of smallish pearls, accented by a few larger pearls and red and blue rhinestones. On the tip of each point are amber stones. Measures a huge 3" x 3", with a nice filigree back and c-clasp closure. Overall very good condition, although the smaller pearls show chipping, and the antiqued goldtone seems a tad dull in some places. All of which do not really take away from how pretty this piece is! At this low starting price, how can you go wrong? Also, just letting you know, all of my jewelry come in a nice cotton-filled gift box, and nicely tied with a bow. (I've been doing this long before the Christmas holidays, but it's worthwhile mentioning now -- that's one hassle you won't have to deal with if gift-giving is on your mind!).
