This cup and saucer has never been used. The design is in either silver or platinum (I think). I have washed the cups and saucers very carefully in soap and water. I have not really tried to clean the design for fear I would ruin it. They were sent by my father who spent a lot of time in Germany during and after WW2. T are 4 sets of cups and saucers in all. Each a different color. On the bottom t is an oval with a crown on top of a shield with CM in it and 18 on one side and 14 on the other. Under that is Hutschenreuter, under that Hohenberg. And under the oval is Germany. T is also another oval which looks like it was added later on the saucers only, and in that oval is veyhl, silber-porzellan, Handarbeit. and the #977 is on all the pieces. This color is yellow. The saucer is 4 1/2" wide and the cup is 1 3/4" tall and 3" across not including the handle. They are all in very good condition with no cracks, chips,or repairs except the red cup which has a chip on the bottom rim.
