This rare example of early 20th century French designer jewelry is the mate to a clip pictured on page 35 of"Rhinestone Jewelry Figurals Animals and Whimsicals " by Marcia "Sparkles" Brown. In my auction you have the Cossack Dancer to match the Russian woman dancer in Marcia brown's book! Marks are: DEPOSE, MADE IN FRANCE, LOUIS VIALE, DEPOSE PARIS. In good vintage condition. All rhinestones in place, probably gold plated with no significant damage. Fur prongs a little looser than they should be, but the clip mechanism works well.Measuring from his outstretched foot to the top of his hat, he's 2 1/2".
