This is a large Glass Serving Ladle. The body glass color I’m going to call... “Depression Pink” even though I’m quite sure this did not come from that Depression era. But if you are familiar with the pink Depression glass... you can visualize the pink body glass color of this Serving Ladle or Punch Bowl Ladle. The Bowl portion of the Ladle is almost 4 inches from front to back... almost 4 ½ inches from the pour spout to the other side... and a little over 1-½ inches deep. The handle is hand applied... about 10 inches long... and has a hand crimped “lip” to keep it from slipping down into the pot of bowl. Overall length from the edge of the bowl to the end of the handle is about 12 ½ inches. It appears to be in excellent condition. I find these Glass Ladles listed in my “Glass Kitchenware” reference book as being made by numerous glassmakers over the years. What I don’t find is a “maker’s mark” anywhere on the Ladle... which is not surprising. A good portion of all glassware was manufactured from molds without identifying marks. This was especially true with what we might call... “insignificant pieces”. Items that were “everyday” types of glassware... not highly decorated... didn’t cost a lot to buy or produce... and were usually made in great quantities.
