THIS IS A WONDERFUL ELECTRIC VASLINE GREEN GLASS PRE DEPRESSION...ANTIQUE WESTMORELAND OIL AND VINEGAR-CRUET SET WITH THE TRAY...REFERENCED IN "WESTMORELAND GLASS...VOL. 3...1888-1940" BY LORRAINE KOVAR ON PAGE 38 & P. 209..."THE CONDIMENT SET" FROM THEIR LINE #1776 COLONIAL PATTERN.. "THIS SET CONSISTS OF A PAIR OF 1776-50 2 OZ. CRUETS ON A 1700-27 OVAL TRAY. AN EXAMPLE OF HOW WESTMORELAND MIXED COLONIAL LINES TOGETHER INTO SETS.....THIS CONDIMENT SET WAS LISTED IN THE 1912, 1917 AND 1924 CATALOGS."

THE 2 OZ. CRUETS ARE 3-1/2" TALL....5-1/4" TO THE TOP OF THE STOPPER POINT....BASE DIAMETER O 2-1/4"---3" FROM THE HANDLE END TO THE CURLED SPOUT. WONDERFUL POINTED-FLUTED SIDES.... NO BASE RUB MARKS... THE ONLY ISSUES ON THE INNER DROP SHELF FOR THE STOPPER .....ON CRUETS HAS ITSY ROUGHNESS---THE OTHER IS NICE AND SMOOTH...TYPICAL OF THESE CRUETS AND THE WAY THEY WERE MANUFACTURED... .ROUGH POINTELS ON THE BASE OF EACH CRUET....

ON STOPPER HAS THE POINT AND TOP PRISTINE...NO ISSUES AT ALL. THE SECOND STOPPER HAS AN AGE SOFTENED CHIP ON THE TOP POINT SIDE AND THE BASE HAS SOME ROUGHNESS AND A GRAZING CHIP...

THE TRAY IS FAINTLY MARKED IN THE CENTER WITH THE WESTMORELAND "KEYHOLE" MARK WITH THE "W" IN THE CENTER...IT HAS FLUTED-OPTIC SIDES THE COME UP INTO A RUFFLE OUTLINE...THE DEEPLY MOLDED STAR IS FELT UNDER THE TRAY.....7-1/2" X 5-1/4"....NO BASE RUB MARKS...NO SCRATCHES IF HELD TO THE LIGHT....THE TOP BEVELED RUFFLED EDGE HAS TYPICAL ROUGHNESS WITH A LITTLE AGE SOFTENED NICK ...THE ROUGHNESS FEELS LIKE FLEABITING.. THE REST OF THE TRAY IS SMOOTH AND NICE....NO SCRATCHES OR USE MARKS. A COUPLE OF STRAW MARKS FROM MANUFACTURE.
