Item Description: You are bidding on a Department 56 item from a very large private collection. The item has been previously displayed with care, and is still in the original packaging. Some of these items may not come with lights or cords. These items are used and may have little chips in them and may not include the accessories that come with them. I am selling this item as well as many other pieces from Department 56 Snow Village, and other Department 56 collections, so please be sure to check out my other items !! No charge! Frequently Asked Questions : 1. Why is shipping so expensive? They don't weigh much at all! Unfortunately, UPS, USPS, and Fed Ex all charge for a minimum weight based on the size of the package. Most Department 56 items come in very large boxes with extra styrofoam packing, and this makes them substantially more expensive to ship. Shipping materials, such as the container and the packing materials, are provided to you free of charge. 2. What can I do to reduce shipping costs? If you do not want the original packaging, we can remove the item from the original box and styrofoam and repackage it safely in a much smaller box, creating some savings on shipping (varies item to item). If you win this auction, please request a new shipping quote without the original box. 3. Will you combine shipping or give shipping discounts for buying multiple items? YES. Because of the size issue, this will not lower the actual shipping cost we pay. However, we prefer happy buyers who are interested in multiple items. Therefore, we will offer the following shipping discounts, based on the number of auctions you combine: 2-3 auctions: 15% shipping discount 4-5 auctions: 20% shipping discount 6+ auctions: 25% shipping discount 4. How does combined shipping work? Once you have won an auction (or buy it now), send me a message to notify me that you are waiting on other auctions to end. We will then lower the shipping prices for you! 5. Is local pickup available? Yes. The items are being shipped from Fremont, California. No, they have been kept in a non-smoking environment. 7. You have a ridiculously huge amount of Department 56. Where did it come from? These items belonged to a collector who loved Department 56, but has since passed away. His family is unable to keep all of his collection, and is selling the collection to the public. 8. Who was this collector? Was he famous? Yes. The collection was owned by a man named Leonard Connacher, who would display his collection every year free of charge at the Hyatt Hotel in San Francisco. He is believed to have owned the world's largest collection of Department 56 memorabilia. We have been authorized by the Superior Court of California to represent his estate. 9.
