This lovely whimsical teapot depicts an old saw mill! It is beautifully crafted and cast with intricate detailing, and touches of real gold. Although this teapot looks fragile, it is a high-quality china, similar to bone china. It does not easily chip and is actually quite durable! The body is a beautiful wedgewood blue, with a terra cotta roof. The brown brick base has a set of stairs that lead to a door on one side, and a black water wheel with a golden hub on the other. The top edges of the intricately paned windows are accented with a delicate gold line. A little blue bird perches on the handle, and a silver chain dangles near the spout. The teapot has a lovely iridescent finish overall, with a beautiful shine. The body measures 7 ½” high (8 ½” to chimney top) and 3 ½” wide (8” across overall from handle to spout). It will hold about 3 cups (24 oz) of tea. The 4" x 4" base and depth of the teapot makes it an ideal size for a narrow shelf, or back of the stove. The smaller 2” opening at the lid also makes this teapot an excellent vase for a floral bouquet! Makes a beautiful gift that will delight the most discriminating tea lover! Make it extra-special filled with tea cookies or specialty teas. This versatile teapot is beautiful for display, suitable for any décor, durable and functional for everyday use. You will love it!
