Des Moines Iowa Master Patrolman Badge Set This set contains an obsolete style Full Size DMPD Master Patrolman's Badge and an obsolete style Master Patrolman's Wallet badge Badge. The title Master Patrolman was used to replace the rank of Detective. This rank was itself replaced by that of Senior Officer. These badges are a discontinued style, authentic, and authorized for sale by the Des Moines Police Museum. As with all badges, they carry no police authority without official credentials which are never for sale. The set will be mailed from the department and will include a statement of authenticity. The badges were issued and carried and do show honest wear, but are otherwise in excellent. The shield is an older issue and has had its original pin replaced. The enamel in the lettering is also quite faded. The copper numbers are developing a nice patina. Also, please note that these small wallet badges are no longer issued in any rank.
