This Vintage Desert Rose Tea Pot is from my mother's collection. She started her collection of Desert Rose in the late 1940's and early 1950's. She always hand washed her items and everything is from a smoke free home. This is in very good condition, there is a small chip on the bud on the lid. It looks bigger in the picture then it really is, and a couple of tiny chips or just the coloring in the bud. There is minor wear on the lip of the spout, slightly rough, but not really chipped. Not very noticeable. On the inside of the lid rim, there is a very small indentation that could be a chip, but is fairly smooth. This is not visible when the lid is in place. See picture #4 with the pencil pointing to the spot. The markings on the bottom of the pot state, Hand Decorated, Franciscan Ware, Made in California, USA. For the age of this tea pot I think it is a excellent bargain, and would be a great addition to any collection.
