This L - shaped desk was originally a built-in feature of the Taliesin -designed Prairie School in Wind Point , Wisconsin constructed in the mid 1960's. This integral furniture from the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture was detached as additions to the school were constructed in the early 1990's. The desk offers a broad finished writing surface of near six feet in length with two smaller desktop areas on two levels. Six drawers, two for files, provide ample storage space and maintain smooth operation. The desk is in good, used condition having been in active use in the school until removed for remodeling. It will require some additional supports and finishing for free standing mount, or may be attached directly to a corner location as it was designed. All wood construction with multiple functional drawers and levels. This L- shaped desk is approximately six feet by five+ feet. The portions that originally faced walls are unfinished. DETAILED INFORMATION (added 12/28) The desk is equipped with all original hardware. The L-shaped desk measures 5' 11" X 6' 09". The main surface is just under six feet in length (71") and widens from 26.6" to 31" in width. The three left side drawers are 15" wide and 3", 8.5", and 13" deep respectively. The middle drawer measures 26" wide and 3" deep and the right side drawers are both 17" wide by 12" deep. The lower right side drawer will require side rails. The desk disassembles into 7 pieces (13 pieces if drawers are removed). / Buyer must arrange for pick up or delivery from Baraboo, Wisconsin although we will make every effort to accommodate your needs. The desk can be dismantled into between five and eleven sections for transportation and weighs an estimated 70 pounds.
