is an historical AMERICAN "USA" SPACE PROGRAM PROMOTIONAL "SAVINGS" BANK - Circa 1962 - labeled for Talman Federal Savings located in Chicago, Illinois. Made and marked under base - "DESTINATION - MOON BANK" - "MODEL 1000" - "DURO MOLD & MFG. INC." BANK is operational and functions as designed. PLATING is in excellent overall condition. COIN ACCESS is OPEN/UNLOCKED and NO KEY (taped in position). BANK measures about 10 1/2" tall - "RED SHUTTLE" orbits on ring around the moon held aloft by large "ATLAS" rocket . Great piece to compliment your "SPACE" and/or "MECHANICAL BANK" collection. Ready to enjoy, use or display. Always review provided photos - ignore any strange reflections, fade or coloration. Has names of astronauts Shepard, Grissom, Glenn, Carpetner, Schirra and Cooper on shuttle ring.
