This auction is for a Rare 1948 DC Comics Detective Comics 140 featuring Batman and Robin as well as the First Appearance of The Riddler. The hard to find comic is in great shape. The cover and book are still very pliable and not brittle or stiff. The staples are holding fine and the pages are a more cream color with a light tanning at the edges. The top edge of the cover appears to have been cut slightly off center and the spine has a very slight roll to it. The top edge of the back cover has a thin horizontal line of tanning along it, but nothing serious. No tears or chips that I have noticed, except for a very tiny one at the right edge to the right of Robin's glove and a the thin small zigzag wrinkle under the last E in Detective (see pics) . This Comic is certainly a scarce early item that will add to any Batman or Golden Age Comic collection. Since the item in this lot is not brand new, this auction is to be considered as-is.
