This auction is for a water damaged copy of DETECTIVE COMICS #225 in very poor but complete condition. Published by DC in November, 1955, this 36-page comic has suffered substantial water damage. The covers and interior pages are stained, warped and soiled with a large amount of mold/mildew damage and other residue on the back cover's lower left quarter. The water stained front cover has several pieces missing along the outer and bottom edges. A scan is provided of the front cover from the inside to more easily show the missing pieces. The front cover is detached at the bottom staple and t's a four inch stretch between the two staples w the spine is split and torn. The interior pages are tan. Most of the pages' outer corners are bent and curled up. The upper right corner of this comic is bent (3" diagonal bend) and that's the area w most of the soiling and spotting is. The first page and the last two pages have some more soiling and the outer edge of this comic is soiled . The last interior page was stuck/fused to the back cover in the quarter w the heavy water damage is. When separated, a piece of the back cover approximately 1" x 2" tore off and is stuck to the last interior page. Again, this will be most evident when you view the scan of the inside back cover.
