Look for multiple listings from this collection under in my ebay store under the department heading CONSIGNED 2008. REFERENCE PLATE 90 IN MONUMENTAL MINIATURES. This is one of the half dozen or so finest souvenir buildings ever produced. Cast in lead and capturing faithfully all of the amazing detail in this spectacular office building, this is a vintage piece from 1930 or so and it is in simply spectacular condition. With a soft bronze patina it is just a good dusting and cleaning shy of perfect. No cracks, dent, dings, etc. Front edge, just below the main entrance: CHEVROLET. Back edge: GENERAL MOTORS BUILDING DETROIT. A huge and heavy piece it stands just over 3.5" tall. Base is 4.5 by 6.25". The bottom is covered with felt over cardboard that is as original as the building. With all of the windows, arches, columns and architectural details, this building conveys the true mastery of souvenir building casting in lead. Priority mail shipping in the USA would be $24.00.
