This fare box is complete and can be used on a pay vehicle, as a collection box or, as I have done in the past, to put in my change at the end of the day. This is a model SV with a capacity of 400.00 mixed money. The unit comes complete with 3 keys, one for for installation on the vehicle, one for the removal of the vault and one for opening the vault. The vault cannot be opened unless the key is inserted, this is because the vault cover is spring loaded and once the vault is removed, the door closes. Installation of the vault to the fare box is to open the vault, place a pin that is inside the vault to hold the door open. The vault is inserted into the fare box and when the lock is pushed in on the fare box the pin is pushed releasing the vault lid. When the vault is removed the spring loaded vault closes. This will not count money, the top of the fare box is big enough to take paper money or coins of all sizes. The fare box is in like new condition. The fare box is 7x6x17 inches and the vault is 6x5x11 inches.
