Excellent compilation of fashion and celebrity related photography, much of it originally published in Vogue and here insightfully discussed by Diana Vreeland, that publication's former editor-in-chief. With photographs by Horst, Baron De Meyer, Richard Avedon, Sir Cecil Beaton, Irving Penn, and Edward Steichen, and a few others. Also includes celebrities Greta Garbo, Nureyev, Maria Callas, Queen Mary, Vaslav Nijinsky, The Duchess Of Windsor, Elsa Maxwell, Anna Magnani, Josephine Baker, Sara Bernhardt, Evita Peron, Edith Sitwell, Gertrude Stein, Marilyn Monroe.
