Chester Gould - Original Comic Strip Art for Dick Tracy Sunday dated 6-21-59 (The Chicago Tribune, 1959). From its debut in 1931, readers knew that Dick Tracy was more than just your run-of-the-mill comic strip. Peopled with bizarre villains, cool gizmos, and over-the-top violence, this strip had something for everyone. This page, featuring an interesting assortment of characters, including E. Kent Hardly, Rhodent, and Tracy himself, is actually made up of thirteen individual panels pasted to a piece of board. In excellent condition, the image area is approximately 17.5" x 27".
