You are viewing the original 1880 paperback edition of Die Berg Maria (Mountain Mary), a Pennsylvania Dutch folk tale about a woman who lived in the hills of Berks County, PA. This version of her story was written by Ludwig Wollenweber and published in Philadelphia, where he lived and wrote for the German newspapers. The text consists of 68 pages bound in the original paper covers with book advertisements on the back cover and several text illustrations by F. Schlitte. Some wear to the spine, otherwise excellent copy. RARE.
