Vintage Dietz No. 999 Kerosene

N.Y.C.S. Railroad Lantern

This is a terrific vintage DIETZ NO. 999 Kerosene Railroad Lantern. Marked on lid in raised letters N.Y.C.S. which stands for NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM (Railroad).

Lantern stands 14" high to the top of the handle and the lantern itself is 9" tall. The top of the lantern is marked: NO. 999 KEROSENE, DIETZ . The burner is marked: DRESSEL, ARLINGTON, N.J. It still has wick. The red globe has a "B" marked on it.

This lantern is in excellent vintage condition, showing almost no rust, no dents and no damage we can find. It's a beauty! Nice original patina. The lantern is structurally sound and complete. The burner is complete, and the wheel turns. The red globe is undamaged, just needs cleaning. See pictures for details. Don't miss out on this one, lantern's like this are hard to find in this condition.
