I can't identify the age of this item, but it was not made recently!!
This Railroad Beacon Lantern is in great shape without dents or dings.
It has "No. 20" embossed in the handle.
11" diameter beacon reflector .
Height 15-1/2"
This lantern was never painted. It appears to be brass and needs some cleaning.

Please note: I have just been informed that this beacon lantern is not a Dietz. They only made No 30 and No 60. We do not know who made this lantern. Sorry about the incorrect title.

According to people who know more about this than I do, what I have is not a Dietz, but probably a Tallin. Don't bid thinking you are bidding on a very valuable antique; instead, you are bidding on a great looking beacon lamp. Bid because you like the way it looks -- like I did when I bought this at an auction. Again, it is not an antique and it is not a Dietz.
