For your consideration today, a beautiful Dietz D-Lite No. 2 Railroad or Barn Lantern.
This one is just like I found it......pretty darn clean for a change. This one hasn't been abandoned in the garage or barn for years and does not appear to have been used much. It is intact and ready to use, though. The bottom is in great shape and rock solid.
It was on display inside a house for many years, so it stayed nice and clean. May have been repainted, but if it was, it's a good job.
It has a wick, and the wick does turn up and down and original Dietz tank cap is present and turns off and on just fine.
The globe is perfect and all original and marked H Lock - Knob and Reg'd in U.S.A., and the markings on the other side of the globe are shown in one of the pictures.
This one is the good, N.Y. U.S.A. model and in extra nice, clean shape and ready to display beautifully or produce that nice soft light. These are not the harsh white light like the pressurized camping lanterns produce.
