DIETZ VESTA KEROSENE RAILROAD LANTERN. Marked on lid in raised letters W.M.RY. which stands for the WESTERN MARYLAND Railroad. Also on the lid is a build date of S - 4 - 43. This lantern has what is called a heavy base which was mostly used in the cab of steam locomotives. All wires are tight. Stands straight. One very tiny dent in the smoke dome hardly worth mentioning. Some very minor surface rust in a few locations. Has a red glass globe marked DIETZ in excellent condition. NO cracks or chips. Fully functioning fuel font with shiny insides. Burner works freely. NO wick. Very nice original lantern of a well respected railroad. If you need one for your collection you might consider this one. The items listed are in old/vintage condition. They are not new. They are sold "as is". Not on approval. I have described the items to the best of my ability. Please study the pictures and text to confirm condition and description. E-mail me with any questions through E-Bay "My Messages" before bidding.
