This lovely dining room set was first brought into our family when Grandmother & Grandfather purchased a house in a small mountain community and the set was included in the purchase. We do not know the exact history of the set; however, persons living in that small mountain community had related the story that two sisters had been living in that house and had brought all of their belongings from Missouri when they moved. The set has been in our family for 60-65 years. We have had many wonderful holiday dinners and special get-togethers around this table. Unfortunately, our present home does not have the room for such a set and it is in storage and needs to be in a loving suitable setting. The set had been very well cared for and still is in very nice shape. It is not in mint condition as it has been lovingly used. It needs a home w it can be lovingly used again. T are a few scratches and "dings" and the wood needs to be freshened up - it has dried out somewhat from non-use and storage. It still has considerable quality and nostalgia and would still be gorgeous in any setting. It is beautifully hand carved and in need of a loving home. The table measures 38" wide, 62" long when not extended, and 90 ½" long when extended. Table height is 30". The table weighs approximately 140-175 lbs.
