On offer ths week are three versions of the wonderful French Dinky 24k Peugeot 402 "Limousine," plus a 35a Simca 5. These were the first two deviations by the Bobigny firm, in 1939, from the more-or-less generic models produced up to their introduction. Our examples are original castings with original wheels and (in the case of the Peugeots) tin front bumpers; however all have had restoration ranging from minor to a complete authentic refinish. All work is of the highest quality, with painting perfectly matched in colour and texture. Our orange-red 402 has been refinished after matching what remained of the original paint. The finish is semi-gloss and slightly translucent like the original, and looks very authentic. Very light distressing enhances the appearance. The original tin front bumper retains a good deal of its plating. T is no fatigue to body or zamac wheels/tyres. The axles have been replaced and are crimped in the original manner. These models were always sold from trade packs of six, and no original packaging is included.
