I learned from an old friend where to hunt and how to recognize Dinosaur Coprolite. I have attended a lapidary class at the college and the professor agreed that I have fine specimens of Dinosaur Droppings called Coprolite. My mother even took a sample she found to the Los Angeles History Museum where the paleontologist verified her find to be Dinosaur Coprolite.Coprolite is fossilized excrement of animals. This specimen was found in Arizona. Preserved under unique conditions almost 130 million years ago. A typical specimen weighs a few ounces up to several pounds. These Coprolites found in Arizona are very smooth from tumbling through the canyons and valleys over many years.
