The Collectible Dionne Quintuplets by John Axe (1977) Book in very good condition, book cover is in fair condition w/some tears and rips on it, the back is short and does not fold inside the book like most bookcovers would. ISBN: 0-8758-136-X, 154 pages. North to Callander, cover girls, paper dolls in sets of five, The Dionne Quntuplet Museum, Corbeil revisited and on pages 137-139 give the pricing of collectibles. Cereal bowl: is chrome-plated with the Quints pictured as babies in the bottom & their names inscribed around the rim: Cecile, Emilie, Marie, Yvonne & Annette as is pictured on page 68 in the book. 5 7/8" dia & 1" high. A lot of five vintage silverplated souvenir spoons commemorating a rare occurrence back in 1934. They were the first quintuplets born that all survived infancy. Two are still living today. The Dionne quintuplets were born in Ontario, Canada, on May 28, 1934, and became quite a sensation all over the world. This is a complete set, shown around the age of 5-6. Each spoon has the girl's likeness on top and on the back, and her name down the handle, and shows them each in a cute, different pose, with curly hair with bows and floral print dresses. The spoons are about 6" long and are in good condition, with overall light scratching from normal handling and polishing, much better than others I've seen. (I have not polished these spoons for the last 10 years, you will need to do that). No monograms or other engravings - heavy spoons each marked "Carlton Silver Plate".
