This Dye Transfer comes with a signed letter that states it is an original and that it is from the collection of Ub Iwerks. This auction is for an authentic, and rare, original Dye Transfer from the private collection of the late Disney legendary, Ub Iwerks . This Dye Transfer is from an original animated cel from the Feature Film , âeoeLady and the Trampâe. It includes the original background, and is in mint condition. A Dye Transfer is the highest quality reproduction of an original cel and master background ever made. Nothing else comes close to the magnificence of a Dye Transfer. Disney stopped using the Dye Transfer process more than twenty-five years ago, which make them very desirable. This Dye Transfer has the actual peg holes created by Ub Iwerks, and referred to at Disney as the âeoePeg Barâe. The peg holes authenticate that it is an original. Ub Iwerks began working with Walt Disney in the 1920âe(tm)s through the 1960âe(tm)s. Ub was known at Disney for his animated genius and his technical wizardry. He was the creator that first sketched and brought to life, Mickey Mouse. Ub invented technology that would revolutionize feature animation. In 1964, he was honored with the Kalmas Gold Medal Award, the highest technical award given, and another Oscar for his technical contributions to the industry. He was nominated for a third Oscar for his work on Alfred Hitchcockâe(tm)s The Birds.
