Actual shark recovered from the Lagoon of the hugely popular "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" park ride at DisneyWold in Orlando, Fla. When the ride was retired in 1994, crews removed the underwater props...this shark is one of those props. It can be seen in old tour promotional films of the ride as submarine passengers were taken through the depths of the lagoon. The ride operated from 1971 to 1994, and everyone who ever rode on it misses it immensely! Shark is 70 inches long, 25 inches wide at fins, and 20 inches tall (tail fins). He is in the original condition that he was when taken from the lagoon...heavy "fishing line" cables attached at two places have s-hooks that make him easy to hang, he has scrapes and wear from his experiences in the water (mostly near the tail line attachment and under his forward belly area) and small chips & t in the outer painted surface...all of which is much more noticeable in the photos than when he's hanging in our screened room. T are no broken or missing parts ... he still has that menacing gleem in his eyes, and still has all his teeth! *** Please note the following revision to my original listing: Shark was chosen for possible inclusion in a national magazine's article due out in spring of 2008. A licensed appraiser provided by the magazine reviewed pictures and info provided by us. He has advised me that this is not an official appraisal and I cannot send his report to the new owner. I had originally stated (& believed) the paperwork we had recieved was an appraisal ... I'm very sorry for the misunderstanding... T are no bids at the time of this correction, so please note that no paperwork will accompany the shark, but I will gladly provide all the same information and photos I gave this appraiser to the new owner of the shark, should the new owner choose to have another appraisal done. We're retiring and down-sizing so he needs to go to a new home. We'll really miss the big guy! If you have a question please ask before bidding.
