Up for auction is this SPECIAL PUBLISHERS FIRST EDITION of the book, "Disney Animation, The Illusion of Life", by Disney Animator's Frank Thomas & Ollie Johnston. The 575 page book was published by Abbeville Press in 1981. It is COMPLETE with the hard slip case, paper dust jacket, Technicolor film strip from Pinocchio held in place by the tipped in signature card and Abbeville Press catalog mailer insert with the Disney characters printed on it. The book measures roughly 10.5" high x 11.25" wide. The publishers page states that the book is a First Edition. I have my own copy of this book and would not be selling this one if I didn't! If you are a serious animation collector or Disney collector and don't have a copy of this book you are REALLY missing something!The book is in EXCELLENT/LIKE NEW condition with little sign of handling or wear. The interior pages are crisp, bright & white with sharp corners and t is NO graffiti. The dust jacket has just a bit of wear at the upper right corner of the front cover and a small crease at the top of the spine. It is otherwise in perfect condition. The slip case has wear on the bottom from being slid in and out of shelves. The front & back have very little wear as shown in the pictures above. The closed end has a bit of shelf wear along the left edge near the top. Shipping weight is 9 pounds. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR MORE DETAILS.
