DISNEY AUCTIONS Elisabete Gomes Signed Set of 6 LE Pins COMPLETE SET OF 6 - Limited Edition of 100 Pins T were only 100 of each of these Limited Edition sets available. All were auctioned by Disney in 2005. No more are available... except ! Showcasing characters and moments from such classic Disney animated features as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs , Alice in Wonderland and Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas , this splendid set of six character pins is a Disney Auctions exclusive developed in limited editions of 100 oversize pins each. Each magnificent collectible is based on an original ceramic design created by renowned artist Elisabete Gomes, who hand signed the back of each pin. This is the 6th set of LE 100 pins Elisabete Gomes has designed for Disney auctions. SIZE: each approx. 2.5" MATERIALS: base metal, hard enamel About the Artist: Born and raised in the city of Oporto, Portugal, w she studied fine arts and later worked as a textile designer, Elisabete Gomes developed an interest in ceramics after relocating to the United States to continue her studies and her career. After a few years of freelance work, Elisabete was commissioned by The Walt Disney Company to develop a line of highly detailed hand-painted ceramic pieces. For several years, she worked with many of the original Disney animators -- including Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, Ward Kimball and Marc Davis -- in re-creating their beloved characters on limited-edition ceramic pieces. In addition to her own line of paintings and ceramics, Elisabete is presently working on a number of projects for various Disney divisions at her studio in Southern California.
